Coexistence in multiculturism – how to realize society which enable citizens to lead their lives overcoming and respecting differences.
On December 2nd The Multi Cultural Forum ② was held at the prefectural library. We often hear multiculturism is voiced and need to understand diversity in terms of race, religion, nationality, sex. GWY invited people from
overseas living in Gifu prefecture and asked them to talk about festivals of their countries. Their explanation offered good opportunity to recognize common points, differences from Japanese ones. The nationalities were the U.S., China, Pakistan, Brazil, Lithuania, Vietnam and Cote d’Ivoire.
