(2015) Japanese Study Tour in GIFU

A group of college students from Hong Kong made a study tour to places in Gifu prefecture and attended Japanese language class in Ogaki city from July 5 through 26.
This program started in 2013 and this year the third program was held. The group is composed of 14 students and they attended the Japanese language class at “Gifu Keizai University” from July 6 through 17. During this period they made tours to several places in Ogaki, exchange activities with the Ogaki Kita Primary school pupils and joined a lecture on how to put on Yukata or cotton kimono properly. On July 20 they participated in the Castle forum called "Why are people fascinated with castles?" which was sponsored by GWY as one of the civil programmed events commemorating the 480th anniversary since the construction. From July 21 through 23 they visited Shirakawago, Takayma city and Gujo city to watch the products there and to have talks with the local people. From July 11 through 12 and 18 through 20 they experienced home stay program. On July 25 they made presentation about the results of their visit and took part in graduation ceremony and welcome and send-off party. Most of the students left for their own trips in Japan.
