(FY2015)“Crosscultural Understanding Programme in Ogaki, GIFU”

GWY carried out the exchange activity called international comprehension lecture. GWY prepared programs to teach Japanese culture deeply to trainees from Africa invited by JICA, which is JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program (Group and Region Focus)-Enhancement of the Ability to Support SMEs for Improvement of their Product Quality and Productivity
On 6th February the nine trainees visited Nakagawa primary school in Ogaki to enjoy exchange activity through listening chorus and playing musical instruments that 5th and 6th grade pupils performed. In return they sang the song which mourns South African former president-Nelson Mandela. Later they moved to Ogaki Forum Hotel to get together to promote the mutual friendship with the executive members of GWY and people in Ogaki through taking part in the meeting and so on. After this meeting they went to Okuno Hosomichi Memorial Hall to study Haiku poem and learn about Okuno Hosomichi which is one phase of Japanese culture.
