(2016)17 members from 9 countries from Africa and Haiti came to Gifu to study local administration

From Oct 17 to Nov 3 the delegation composed of 17 members from 9 countries from Africa and Haiti came to Gifu to study local administration as part of JICA youth traiing projects. They went to facilities in Gifu. They came to Japan of Oct 17. After the orientation held at JICA Chubu international center associate prof. Shinohara gave the lecture of Japanese politics , administration system and decentralization in Japan.
GWY took charge of the program & activities in Gifu pref.
On Oct 22 they visited Gifu elementary school and on Oct 24 they learned about local administrative policies of Ogaki, Gifu from the government officials. They paid courtesy call to vice governor of Gifu prefecture and after that they visited Ogaki Clean center. On 28 they visited Takayama where they attended lecture about brand articles of the city and the policy of tourism strategy to attract foreign tourists. They enjoyed taking a walk along the old streets lined with neat rows of stores and Jinya (former Takayama custom). They announced their action plan based on the training in Gifu to assess their visit and then on Nov 3 they returned home.
