(FY2016)Multicultural Understanding Program in Ogaki, GIFU

GWY carried out International Understanding Program Part 2 on February 18. GWY invited JICA 8 trainees as Knowledge Co-Creation Program – Comprehensive Waste Management, from Suri Lanka, Niue, Nepal, Laos, the Philippines and Malaysia with an aim of deepening understanding of Japanese culture. In the morning, they visited Ogaki municipal Nakagawa primary school in Ogaki where they enjoyed listening to chorus by 5th and 6th graders and talking about their future dream. They moved to Ogaki Forum Hotel to have a talk with citizens and executive members of GWY about Asia and Oceania. They also visited Memorial museum of Okunohosomichi(Basho)
to learn about Japanese culture through Haiku and Okunohosomichi.
