The youths from the Southeast Asia visited Gifu
From April 18th to 25th, 188 youths from the countries who are interested in economics fields including Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos and Timor -Leste came to Japan as part of JENESYS 2016 for the promotion of understanding Japan. They took part in exchanging programs whose themes are cooperation, trading, investment at the related companies and facilities.
The delegate came to Gifu after the general program in Tokyo. On April 20th, they visited Softopia Japan and Ogaki Clean Center. On April 21st, 29 youths from Thailand, the Philippines and Timor-Leste visited Ogaki Suitopia center to have Japanese Cultural Program, Iaido, Koto and Shamisen and to experience Chanoyu or Tea ceremony.
This program was managed by Gifu World Youth. In the afternoon, they visited Okunohosomichi Basho Memorial Museum and the Head quarter of Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank and Miwa Sake Brewery. From 21st to 23rd they did the homestay to appreciate culture of Japanese families. On April 23rd, the exchanging party was held for the delegation with the host families. After the exchanging party, the delegation made the workshop and the summary report, then they left Japan on April 25th.
