On February 17 GWY hosted the lecture on International Understanding. The participants consist of 11 members who came from Argentina, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Kirghiz, Kenya, Costa Rica, Zambia, Vanuatu, Morocco and Jordan. They attended JICA's Knowledge Co-Creation Programs- Strengthening of Business Development Services (BDS) for Industrial Promotion (C). They first visited Ogaki Nakagawa primary school to join the exchange activity with 5th and 6th graders. Then they attended the meeting with the Ogaki citizens at Ogaki forum hotel. They moved to Okunohosomichi Basho’s Memorial Museum to learn about Japanese culture like Haiku poem, Basho by watching exhibitions or DVDs. They were impressed with the pure water of the well-house on the street, one of the Ogaki city’s natural features.
Snow which began falling suddenly during their visits was one of good memories for the members from tropical countries.
