GWY設立40周年記念式典に際し、メルボルン豪日協会から祝電を頂きましたので、披露致します。
Dear Gifu World Youth
I was so sorry that I missed the opportunity to wish you congratulations on 23rd July on reaching your 40th anniversary. You were able to provide young travellers and people with an interest in Japanese travel and culture deeper understanding through homestays for many years in regional as well as city Japan. This was such a wonderful experience for these students, providing experiences they would never have had the opportunity to do otherwise.
Without the hard work and generosity of your organisation and the families who worked with you, these experiences would have been missed. Of course, many of those students still remember fondly their interactions with families and their knowledge and interest in Japan became an essential part of their working life. We have much to be grateful for and thank Gifu World Youth.

親愛なるギフワールドユースの皆さん
7月23日の創立40周年おめでとうございます。とお祝いの機会を逃し、大変申し訳ありませんでした。──青年や日本や日本文化に興味のある人たちに、地域や都市で長年のホームステイを通じて、より深い理解を提供することができましたね。学生にとって非常に素晴らしい経験であり、そうでなければ決して得る機会がなかったであろう経験を提供くださいました。
皆さんの組織と一緒に協力をした家族の皆さんの優しさと寛大さがなければ、これらの経験は実現しなかったでしょう。もちろん、多くの学生たちは今でも家族との交流を懐かしく思い出し、日本に対する知識や興味が仕事にも生活に欠かせないものとなりました。 ギフワールドユースのみなさんに感謝してもしきれません。
